The following information has been designed to help you to successfully list your business in the WA Education Directory. 

Brief Description – In this box you need to write a description with a maximum of 250 characters about your business. This will be the introduction to the user. 

Description – This is an extended description of your business where you can add more detail like range of products or services, trading hours, etc. If you are pasting text from a Word document, allow the “cleaning “ process to take place. This changes the text to “straight text” and then you can format the information using the tools provided. 

Category Suggestion – Each product or service is placed in a sub- category. If you feel your product or service does not fit any of the categories provided then suggest a category and we will add it in. 

Logo – If you would like to add your business logo to your listing, then you will need to size your logo to 210 x 150 pixels and save it in an appropriate folder so you can browse for it. 

Icon – If you would like to add a photograph about your business to your listing, then you will need to size the photograph to 210 x 150 pixels and save it in an appropriate folder so you can browse for it. 

Meta description and Meta words – These are generic key words that search engines such as Google or Yahoo use to find the page. If you were putting up a listing for a catering company in Carine that specialises in cakes, your keywords would be “Carine, cakes, pastry, cupcakes, Perth, delivery, affordable, catering, vanilla, chocolate, weddings, birthdays cheesecake” Your description would be “Catering business In Carine, Western Australia, specialising in beautiful cakes for weddings, birthdays and events.” This means if someone googles “Chocolate wedding cake in Perth” Google is able to search the keywords even though the ad on your site might only have the business name and phone number.  

Please Select a Category – You can list your business in up to five (5) sub categories. Your business will be found in any of these when a user is searching for services, products or resources. Make sure you expand the category by clicking on the + next to the category heading. A category without the + should be used. If you can’t find an appropriate category then please suggest one in the space provided.
