The WA Education Directory was born from the success of the West Australian Education Expo. The founders, Luke and Steve, were amazed at the quality and quantity of Expo exhibitors and were concerned that only those West Australian educators who managed to get to the Expo benefited. The feedback from the Expo visitors was overwhelmingly positive. In an effort to help educators to be permanently exposed to the many new and exciting education services, programs, resources and products, a directory for Educators was created.

They were keen to ensure that information teachers were seeking was current and accurate information. Armed with persistence and determination they set out to create a simple, easy to navigate and quick to use web based database.

The next part was to market and tell the educators about the website. Eddie was created by Jason Trevenen (KaBoom Toons) as a novel way of attracting people’s attention and to brand the Directory. Eddie is a cheeky but smart, likeable boy who enjoys helping people to make their life easier.

Steve and Luke are Directors of Best Performance Pty Ltd, the entity that owns WA Education Directory. They are both passionate about teaching and stand by their byline “Supporting Educators in the Art of Teaching”.
